Finally if you are looking for reliable DVD burning software as well as the complete multimedia suite then Nero 9 is an excellent choice as well. It is fully featured, has one of the best DVD burning engines around today and is well positioned to take you into the future with the development of new audio, video and disc technologies.
DVD Copying-Conversion Software
The best DVD copying software should:
My first choice for DVD copying software is DVD Fab. This program will copy any DVD you throw at it, is easy to install and use as well as being very stable. It beats out the number two choice because of its better ability to correct damaged or corrupted DVDs. More on that here at DVD Disc Repair. You get an excellent DVD copying and DVD conversion software with the added bonus of knowing that just about any problem DVD you have can be handled by this software.

The Best DVD Copying - Conversion Software
1. DVD Fab
3. Nero 9
I am sure you have heard all about the "perfection" of digital copies and how there could not possibly be errors etc. Well that's nice marketing but far from the truth!
When you import the contents of a DVD on to your computer, regardless of the origin, you are also importing the existing errors on that DVD. When you burn a new DVD from the copy you made or convert the DVD to a different format the new DVD or file will have the original errors PLUS additional errors from the new burning/conversion process. This effect snowballs every time you repeat the process.
These errors increase dramatically on DVD discs produced by DVD camcorders, DVD recorders and computer DVD burners. Commercial DVDs are "pressed," not "burned" with a laser like the ones you make on your computer, DVD recorder or DVD camcorder.
If you look around you will find there are many, many brands of software that will do what I have just described. On this page I am only recommending three. That isn't because I am too lazy to review or test more than three! I HAVE tested more than that...really!
What separates good DVD copying/conversion software from the rest of the pack?
All DVDs have at least some degree of internal error. The vast majority of these errors are inconsequential and are easily handled by inbuilt correction algorithms (complex mathematical calculations) in your playback software.
The software recommend below can all be used for your average DVD copying, DVD burning and DVD conversion but they stand out from the crowd because they offer greatly advanced features the others don't. They will read through DVD disc surface errors and they will read through and automatically correct internal DVD disc errors so very often, the copy you made is better than the original.
2. 1Click DVD Copy
1click DVD Copy is only just beaten out by DVDFab because of the necessity to install an additional free program to decrypt copy protected DVDs. Again you get a solidly performing DVD copying and DVD conversion software. Because it specializes in the changes in DVD structure that the commercial companies are introducing at an alarming rate it has great correction abilities.
